Santana

Santana is on the North East Coast of Madeira and a major attraction is the Madeira Theme Park. This has only been open for a few years, but is extremely popular with tourists. It concentrates on Madeira history and should not be missed. Santana has plenty to offer, including restaurants, cafes and lots of craftwork. In July there is a dance and music Festival with a lively and festive atmosphere.
You should be able to find a coach tour, which goes there, or a taxi is a good alternative.
We understand that there are also buses, which go from Funchal, but we have not yet verified that.
